Atlas Metrics ("we", "us", "our") operates atlasmetrics.ca and provides AI automation services to local businesses across Canada. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information in compliance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Contact information: Name, email address, phone number, business name when you book a call, fill out a form, or contact us.
Business information: Industry, services offered, current tools, and operational details shared during discovery calls.
Usage data: How you interact with our website (pages visited, time spent). We do not use tracking cookies.
Communication data: Emails, SMS messages, and call recordings when you interact with our systems.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve our AI automation services
To communicate with you about your account, bookings, and services
To send automated messages (missed call text-backs, appointment reminders, review requests) as part of our service delivery
To generate reports on automation performance for your business
To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support

3. Data Storage and Cross-Border Transfer

Your data is stored using GoHighLevel (GHL), a CRM platform with servers located in the United States. By using our services, you consent to your data being transferred to and stored in the US. GoHighLevel maintains industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit.

Our workflow automation tool (n8n) processes data on cloud servers. No customer data is stored permanently in n8n — it passes through during automation execution only.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share data only with:

Service providers: GoHighLevel (CRM), n8n (workflow automation), Google Workspace (email) — only as needed to deliver our services.
Legal requirements: When required by Canadian law or to protect our legal rights.

5. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

As a Canadian resident, you have the right to:

Access your personal information we hold
Request correction of inaccurate information
Withdraw consent for data collection (this may affect our ability to provide services)
File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

6. Data Retention

We retain client data for the duration of our service agreement plus 12 months. Lead/prospect data is retained for 6 months from last contact. You may request deletion at any time.

7. Security

We protect your data using:

Encrypted API communications (HTTPS/TLS)
Access controls (team members access only data relevant to their role)
Secure credential management (API tokens stored in encrypted credential stores, not in code)
Regular security reviews

8. Cookies

Our website does not use tracking cookies. The embedded booking calendar (GoHighLevel) may set functional cookies required for the booking process.

9. CASL Compliance

We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Commercial electronic messages are only sent with implied or express consent. All messages include sender identification, physical address, and an unsubscribe mechanism.

10. Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that poses a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada within 72 hours of discovery, as required by PIPEDA.
